MindDen runs the MINDDEN app and is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, login credentials or Google sign-in) — to create and secure your account (contract).
- Your content (text, files, audio, pictures, notes, flashcards, quizzes, worksheets) — to provide the service (contract).
- Usage records (generations used, plan, purchase records) — to apply plan limits and billing (contract).
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser details, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems (legitimate interests).
- Support messages — to help you (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host the app, store files and run the AI models that generate your notes, only to provide MINDDEN.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your content and login are deleted. Purchase records may be kept as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, private file storage and access controls so only you can see your content.
Cookies
MINDDEN uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember in-progress work. We don't use advertising cookies.
